Welcome to Asphaltanza! The guild system of Fallen Sword brings a whole new dimension to the game, making it much more involved and interesting. There are many benefits to being a part of a great guild such as ours, but there are also a few responsibilities as well.
This post is mostly here for new members to learn about the guild and the game, but there may be some useful things for even the veterans. It is also somewhat focused on English speakers. I find it very unique and interesting to be in a bi-lingual guild, but it can be a bit of a challenge sometimes since much of the chat and forum is in Italian. As a native English speaker I have found that I can read just enough to figure out what is going on most of the time. There are some times though where I am just clueless. If you need help, just ask. Everybody here is friendly, and many do speak English as well as Italian. Enough rambling, let's get down to business.
Rules and Operation:
1) You will enter the guild ranked "TRIAL". This is a starting rank so you and the guild can get to know each other. It is also a way to filter out inactive players. If you do not make it out of this rank fairly quickly, it means you do not play very much at all and will be removed from the guild. You graduate from this rank when your Contrib XP (on the guild>manage page) reaches 10,000. Don't worry, with the added guild bonuses your xp will just roll in. The next ranks are also determined by your XP amount, or you can be promoted for a significant donation of gold or fsp (ask a guild admin for details).
2) You are expected to donate your normal bank deposit (25% of the gold in your pocket) to the guild bank every other day. This is done on the guild>manage page, from the "manage" link in the bank section. This money pays for the upkeep of the guild structures, and may be used to buy new structures or upgrades. You will find that this is a very useful investment for your money, as the structures boost your stats a lot. It should also not be much of a financial burden as long as you control yourself in the auction house.
3) Attack groups allow multiple guild members to team up to take on a really tough monster. This is done by contributing a portion of the stats from each member. If there are higher level players creating an attack group, do not join it unless you are specifically invited. Your stats will not be high enough to help, and you will be wasting a limited space in the group. A lot of people seem to abuse the Mass Message button with "join my group!!!" messages. If you can't help them, just ignore it. When the time comes for you to take down a tough elite to finish a quest or loot some gear, create your own attack group. You may want to put a message in guild chat telling everybody what it is for, just as a courtesy. With the help of a few level 60+ guildies you will destroy that pesky level 20 elite!
4) The guild store is there to catch any loot gained from attack groups. It is also sometimes used as temporary storage. The rule of thumb here is- if you are not absolutely sure that it belongs to you, do not touch it. If you need to store something for a short time, contact an admin, most likely there is a spot open you can use.
5) Help others when you can. Someday soon you will not be the new guy (or gal), so pass along what you can. If you are upgrading equipment, see if anybody needs your old stuff. Either ask in chat or look at the profiles of equal or lower level players, then send it to them if they could use it. Don't be greedy, you probably won't make much for it on the AH anyway.
6) Don't be stupid! The purpose of a guild is to group together to help each other and have fun in the process. Do not abuse the people offering help, or they may stop being so nice. Do not be rude or childish. This is a fairly mature group. Joking around is okay, but insults, threats, whining, etc. are not. Remember your fun should not come at the expense of someone else's fun. Also, whatever language you speak, try to do it as best you can. There are many people here that try very hard to read and write a second (or third) language, do not make it more difficult for them by intentionally misspelling or dropping letters from words because you are too lazy to press another button.
